The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture seeks suitable Nigerian Nationals for the following positions at the Institute’s Headquarters, Ibadan.
1. Electronics Technician II
(2 year renewable Contract)
Responsibilities
Candidate will among other things perform the following duties:
Assist in the maintenance of Scientific equipment in the laboratories
Assist in Solar Power Installation.
Maintenance of UPS etc.
Perform any other duties assigned by the Supervisor.
Requirements
Minimum National Diploma (ND) Electrical/Electronics
Plus at least 3 years post-qualification working experience in a well structured electronics workshop.
Candidate must be:
Computer literate;
Able to diagnose and prefer solution on scientific equipment.
Able to work under pressure.
Able to meet target with minimal supervision.
2. Equipment Operator II
(2-year renewable Contract
Responsibilities:
Candidate will among other things perform the following duties:
Operate other machine such as Forklift, Wheel-loader, Grader to assist the Foreman in carrying out assigned duties.
Operate Tractor and other heavy equipment with full range of implements including gang-mowers, slasher, trailer etc.
Perform any other duties assigned by the Supervisor.
Qualification:
WASC/Trade Test plus valid Drivers’ Licence class “E”
With at least five (5) years operating similar heavy equipment in an agricultural environment.
Candidate must be:
Honest and hardworking;
Physically and mentally fit.
Able to work under pressure with minimal supervision
Good interpersonal and communication skills
3. Machinist II
(2-years renewable Contract)
Responsibilities
Candidate will:
Fabricate tractor and auto parts
Operate all production machines in fabrication Unit
Operate and service lathe machine, milling machine, etc.
Carry out welding when needed; and
Perform any other duties assigned by the Supervisor.
Qualification:
WASC/Trade Test I with minimum of 4 years similar working experience
Candidate must be:
Honest and hardworking,
Physically and mentally fit.

4. Painter II

Prepare, prime and paint building walls;

- Assist the CEO on a wide range of issues which include analyzing, collecting and summarizing all relevant data that will aid decision making
REQUIREMENTS
- Must have demonstrated problem solving ability, excellent analytical and communication skills
- Documentation, technical assistance and preparation of the CEO’s presentations
- BENG or BSC with masters degree will be added advantage
- Membership of NSE/COREN
- At least 5 years work experience with at least 2 years in similar post
- GAS ENGINEER
- BENG in petroleum engineering or related field. A masters degree is added advantage
- At least 5 years experience in oil and gas industry
- Membership of NSE/COREN
- Must have demonstrated problem solving ability, excellent analytical and communication skills
